I've been a climate activist since 2019. During these years, I have found an incredible community of people who view social justice as one of their primary life priorities. I'm not particularly optimistic, but even though it is often mentally and physically exhausting, I take comfort in knowing that I'm not alone and that some people care.
This video was made for the Extinction Rebellion COP26 #actnow campaign.
One of the reasons I love this video so much is that I have had a pretty solid plan before even starting to montage and that doesn't happen that often to me. I knew how I wanted to structure the beginning of the video visually and just had fun with the rest of it and with the sound.
It was the most challenging project I've done, mainly because it was the first time using Premiere Pro for me.
As you can see I had had multiple roles in the process of creating this video. I was the one placing the camera in all of the shots, but you can also see me wearing the green suit and acting as Coca-Cola; directing the whole act and my favorite part — the montage — was on me as well.
The main idea, all the accessories, and costumes were found and/or created by my wonderful friends from XR-Serbia, and crafting the planet was a team effort.
The footage filmed from a drone, and that of the lighter as well as the music and sounds are downloaded from the free content stocks.
This was my original plan for the video.
The text says "by the end of the video when it talks about COP26 possibilities the planet burns "backwards"

This was a performance. We (XR Serbia) wanted to show the impact climate crisis, hunting and deforestation have on the animals we all know and love. Above every "dead" animal toy was a sign I made with the information of why that animal would die in the near future.
